We're looking for people interested in joining our mission to help neighbors in need.
Board members contribute in different ways to steer and operate the AEF and help us reach more people.

Create your own project!
The AEF is continually open to new ideas for reaching people in need and raising funds. We also need leaders who will take the initiative to turn these ideas into fruitful activities for Ashland. If you have suggestions for activities or wish to help the AEF by turning your good ideas into a reality please contact Nadine.
Social media
We are constantly trying to expand our online reach and we'd love your help. Do you have information on how we can grow our social media or ideas on what we should post? Are you interested in writing monthly blog posts on relevant topics? Please reach out to Nadine. with any ways in which you think you could help us grow online!
Book keeping
Want to help manage donations with data entry help, ect? We are potentially looking for assistance with our bookkeeping, please contact us if interested.
"Thank you" notes
The Ashland Emergency Fund is dedicated to sending out personalized thank you's to every person who makes a charitable donation, big or small. If you are interesting in writing short, handwritten notes to our donors as an expression of our gratitude, please contact John.
Beanie Babies
The AEF loves to bring raffles to local businesses in town as a mode of fundraising and we are constantly seeking out beanie babies as a part of our beanie baby raffles. We are constantly accepting beanie baby donations so if you have any you'd like to donate or you are interested in finding places to collect them for us please contact Bill.
AEF fund drives
Each year the AEF holds year-end drives to insure that we can continue to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors. The drive is timed for the holiday season, when the impact of economic hardship can be particularly difficult. This year-end drive must grow in scope. In addition, the AEF Board has realized that we must extend fund-raising over a greater part of the year than only the holiday season. The AEF always needs more volunteers to make these fund drives successful.

Grant writing
We are looking for any individuals who are interested in assisting our current Grant Writer to ensure more opportunities for the people of Ashland. This may include filling out paperwork, some brief technical writing and possibly researching further grant opportunities for The Ashland Emergency Fund. Please contact John if you are interested.
Growing our Facebook following
Want to share our FaceBook posts with your friends list?
Follow these easy steps:
Log into your personal Facebook page and find our organization by searching “The Ashland Emergency Fund” in the search bar.
Once on our page, bring your attention to the “Community” tab and find the blue box that says, “Invite Friends”
Click on this box and select from your friend's list or by searching for your friend's and family’s names.
Once selecting 10 people or more to invite, click the “Send Invites” button at the bottom of the page and they will receive an invite to “Like”.
Optionally, follow through with the invites by messaging those who you invited and give them a quick sentence or two on why they should like our page or why The Ashland Emergency Fund is important to you.

Follow these easy steps
Log into your personal Facebook page and find our organization by searching “The Ashland Emergency Fund” in the search bar.
Bring your attention to the "Posts" tab and find a post by us that you would like to share.
At the bottom right-hand corner of the post, it will say "Share". Select that, followed by "Share now". This will make our post visible on all of your friend's timelines even if they do not follow our page.
