Since 1987 the AEF has been Ashland’s behind-the-scenes, private place to which those in need have been able to turn for help.

Ashland Emergency Fund (AEF) Receives a Grant

By Edward Furey, AEF Webmaster

December 6, 2007

The AEF received an advertising grant for up to $10,000 per month for a minimum term of 3 months from a large Internet based company. This advertising grant provides us the ability to display ads online for AshlandEmergencyFund.org. The online ads will show up on search engines or websites when someone searches for key phrases that we define. For example, "donate to a Massachusetts charity". Clicking on these ads will bring the user to AshlandEmergencyFund.org.

The grant solely provides us an opportunity to bring a targeted audience to the AEF website. This would be people that may be searching for a charity, assistance, or an organization to donate to in the Ashland, MA and Boston Metro West area. Hopefully this will translate into donations, volunteers, or people that need assistance finding the AEF and making contact.

Within the first month or so we should have a good understanding of the results and value of this online advertising campaign.

For more information on volunteering or donating, contact John Ellsworth at 508-881-3404 or Youth and Family Services Director Susan Gauvin at 508-881-0109 ext. 18.

Donations can also be sent directly to The Ashland Emergency Fund, P.O. Box 112, Ashland, MA 01721.
